Has anyone on here ever been able to change their eating habits and lifestyle for the better, and actually truly adapt to it to the extent that they'd never go back to their wicked ways? I would love to be super fit and healthy, but I have a problem. I love junk food and hate exercise. I joined the gym but rarely go and I am sitting in front of the telly now, waiting for a macaroni cheese to cook, and have just scoffed 2 bags of snacks, choc wafer, and galaxy bar in the meantime. I don't normally eat quite so badly (I had a tough day!), I don't fry anything and don't usually snack at all but I'm not exactly a steamed veg kinda gal either. I'd love to be super healthy but my lazy side is quite reluctant. I'm no good at diets as I just end up fed up and resentful, then rebel. Is it possible to reform?

And now I've just had my dinner and I feel REALLY sick!! I know I've only stuffed my face cos Him Indoors isn't back till late and I know I can get away with it. Yuck, I hate myself. Such a greedy pig!
I eat pretty much what I want I manage to keep the weight off with exercise. I know that if I didnt exercise so much I would prob be quite tubby! I go through good and bad days too, I just love the feeling of a full belly after a hearty meal. My bf is amazed at how much I can eat I have a massive appetite, luckily the stuff I like is quite good for me (except cheese and chocolate!)

Hi scoobysoo... You are a carb addict! and thats not good.. Your body is used to having its insulin at a higher then normal level.. So it will make you crave anything with sugar to keep that level up... If you want to brake this nasty un-heathy, fat loss hindering habbit.. then you need to do at least a 5 day fibre detox... and when doing that you eat very very little carbs(only natural carbs). You will notice after doing a fibre clense you will be able to sleep better.. you will be calmer.. (i dont know how you are) and you will have almost no urges to snack on sugary foods... You see most people snack because of these reasons.. 1- they really are thirsty but they decide to aimlessly go throught the cubords until they find a small snack, instead grab a cup of water and slam it back and the urge will be gone.. most cravings only last up to 10 mins anyways.. 2- or .. there insulin is out of wack and they need to eat more foods high in fibre and protein...

Good luck I hope I could help...

Thanks I'll try the water idea, as I do feel really dehydrated all the time as I don't tend to drink anything for most of the day
You have just described me in detail 10 years ago. But I did change something. I didn't diet, I didn't exercise, I just went vegetarian...except its not all vegeatables its EXACTLY what I ate as a meat eater except I swapped the meat for a meat alternative like quorn stuff e.t.c Veggies still have milk and egss too. I lost 2 stone through being vegetarian and buying low fat option food. It was a change rather than diet. Im still vegetarian now and much healthier for it I believe, you get used to it and I don't seem to associate meat as food anymore, except for those KFC ad's mmmmm!
Ya water is a great idea scoobysoo... I also drink LOADS of tea all day .. I drink cha or green tea and I feel it curbs any cravings I may get...
