My Nana always wore Lily of the Valley perfume and i had a strong smell of this a while back when i was laying in bed. It was very comforting. Even if its all a load of cobblers to some people i believe if it makes you feel better to think they're watching over you then thats all that matters. My Mum is a true spiritualist and is on the board at the spiritualist church, where as i believe in something i suppose, because i want to.I like to think Dad is there even if we can't see him.
funkymoped,
In what way did the 1993 experience change you? Did it make you more suspicious of other people's motives? I've been 'shafted' by wrong-doing people a few times and boy! it certainly made me look twice at everything afterwards for self-protection, and suspicious of motives. So that's saved me from getting involved again. Can't be bad!
Good luck to you.

Thanks for replying, julie, and sharing your experience.
It was interesting to hear about your Mother being a spiritualist. I went to a Meeting a few years back, in a city where I was visiting so no-one knew me. So I was very surprised when an elderly lady who'd been sitting nearby, came up to me afterwards as I was leaving and told me she could see an 'aura' above my head! It was blue, according to her. I've no idea what that denotes as I didn't ask her. I wish I had, but at the time I was sad and embarrassed and just wanted to drive home.

Hi lindapinda, nice to chat with you again. Boston is all set for next month, so am looking forward to it.
The Meeting I attended was very pleasant, bright and informal and the people there welcoming and friendly. It wasn't daunting at all. I think at times of bereavement one is looking for something, a sign, or some type of comfort, so one explores every avenue to seek it.
You should go some time, if you are interested.
Hope all is well with you. Take care. X

i think there all sorts of regret, regret for doing something, regret for not doing something, regret for taking a certain path in life that maybe you shouldn't have, regret for hurting someone else, even though it was the only way, regret for not saying what you should have said, whilst you could, regret for saying something you shouldn't have etc etc,,,, We can find regret in any situation thats because we can't see into the future.
i read back and think, boy, i'm opinionated. I am quite proud of the fact that i am level headed and the ups and downs in my life have made me quite a tough cookie but yes, i am about as genuine as you can get, i like to think so anyway. Maybe i have too much time to think about things.i ramble a lot aswell, i think i do the longest posts on here! Thanks you pair, its so nice of you to say.
