Has anyone had an abortion which involves taking tablets? If so, I want to know honestly how painful it is and exactly what happens. For example, does the bleeding start after the first pill at home? Thanks to anyone who can answer thisx

Hi suzyangel. I was at the hospital for the whole thing, I didn't even know they sent you home after the first pill...Well, to answer your question, the pain is similar to period pains, so it depends on how bad yours get, I think. The bleeding normally starts after you've taken the second one in hospital, and it does not take long at all - although obviously, to you it's going to feel like ages. Don't get too worried about this side of things, you'll be alright, and they monitor you all the way through. Just make sure you don't walk home afterwards, or drive, as the blood loss can make you feel faint. They will explain everything to you when you are there, and don't hesitate to ask questions.
All the best to you hun, I know it's a hard time to go through. x

Thankyou SO much. I also hope people won't post horrible answers. Unless it happens to you you can't comment PLUS every situation is different, and if anyone thinks they could never be in this situation.think again. Unless you are male and in this case you just can't comment.
You're very welcome Suzy. You are right in saying it can happen to anyone, no matter how careful you are, and it NEVER is an easy decision. You are not alone hun. All the best to you !x
good luck and please ignore anyone who is rude to you, most people ARE very supportive, hope you dont go through too much trauma x
Question Author
Thankyou, I do agree that most people are supportive, just don't know what to say at work, I work as a teaching assistant so can't take holidays when I want to. Will have to lie which is awful.
You should be fine after about 48 h, so that's 2 days off you should take. It's never easy, but maybe you could tell work that you are having a minor surgical procedure done ( like removing a mole, or something ) and need those days off to recover. That, or a tummy bug. I know it's not something you want to broadcast, so in this case you'll most likely have to lie, which is not nice, but there's no way round it !
Good luck suzyangel it's a horrible choice to have to make, and it's a very personal one, no one's business but yours. Get on with your life and have a good one.
Just a quick word : these guys on here are so nice, I'm gonna go all soppy ! Please don't hesitate to post questions, there will always be someone happy to help you. It's refreshing, in this sometimes hard times ! x

This is a great forum!

Hang on I am male andIi am usually rude. Alas, as traditional as I am, it is the womans right to choose. The bloke, I suppose, can bu88er off anytime he wants and you'll be the one left with stretch marks and dirty nappies.

Just from a males point of view though.

1) Unless you have to, don't tell the father.

2) NEVER do a Tracey Barlow

3) Don't use abortion as a form of contraception.

4) Learn from your mistakes

5) NEVER tell future partners

6) Good luck. Not a nice thing, but as you say, maybe necessary in your circumstances.

Question Author

no, won't be doing a Tracey Barlow and won't be using as contraception, am basically ******** myself.

Why are you normally rude!

the use of the ******* is now intriging me.

Why am i normally rude???

Tough question. It is because I speak the truth and most people on here see it as rudeness, bigotry, c0ckiness, arrogance or darn right snobbery.

Therefore, ergo. It is only perceived rudeness. In fact I have a heart of gold.

She doesn't like the truth Ward-Minter
Oh and do not bother arguing with me because in about two minutes my computer is being taken away for a PC health check and dad will not let me use his laptop so I will not even see your answers.
You do Ward-Minter, you do. We all know that. Long may you post !
Question Author
Well you have confused me, you said you were rude! Can't be bothered arguing as I have bigger problems quite frankly! So grow up.
I don't think he was being rude or mean in any way, Suzy. It's his way of speaking, and he was actually being remarquably sensible. Don't worry, and all the best. x
