A while ago I posted this question http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Question225629.html

Just to let anyone that replied know that I rang Landlord in the end on Saturday and he got into flat and no sign of a body. Still no sign of her today so maybe she's just on holiday. But at least I know there is no dead body upstairs :-)

He came round pretty sharpish :-) But he has been trying her mobile for weeks with no reply so he was a bit worried anyway, then I made it worse :-)
ooh,maybe she's done a runner!
Question Author
All her clothes still there.

dont tell me you had a good nose around in her absence?

Question Author
No the landlord did. :-)

Has she paid her rent for the month?

I often go away for weeks at a time, but my rent is always paid, so they know I haven't disappeared permanently!

maybe the boyfriend has dragged the body away!!

It is a bit weird because I know when I go on holiday I hate to come back to a mess. but her bed is unmade and there is milk in fridge. And her birthday cards that were in her pidgeon hole have been opened and put back, but I have a feeling thats the thieving people from upstairs checking for any money.

4getmenot - I think it would be sensible if you contacted the police. There may be a perfectly rational reason for her absence, but there also might not be, and if her body was found unidentified somewhere and you'd done nothing, you would feel dreadful. Worse case scenario is that this is what has happened and the police have no means of identify her beause nobody has reported her missing. Ring them up and let them make the decision as to whether it's important or not. Then if anything untoward has happened, your conscience will be clear And if she returns OK, I'm sure she will be grateful that at least somebody has cared enough to worry about her..

Having the post ransacked is nothing new in the flats. I hope next time she goes away she has the forsight to get her post collected or held at PO.

Maybe her boyfriend whisked her away for her birthday and she didnt have time to tidy up

WendyS I have been concerned enough to be worried and ring her landlord. But she has children so Im sure if she were missing they would be a bit concerned too so to say Ive done nothing is a bit of an understatement :-) and they can be the ones to feel dreadful if a body is found, so please dont make me feel bad. Ive never even met her and I was bothered enough to check her flat. :-) And as for any rent I leave that to her landlord to sort. And redcrx shes not with him apparently its her ex husband not a boyfriend.
4getmenot - Well Done! You did a really brave caring thig. I think you have done more than enough and to ring the Police should be left up to the Family, your right. xxxxx

Cheers girlygirl. That has made me feel a whole lot better about the situation. Thank you for the kind words :-)
4getmenot I agree with girlygirl, you've done as much as you can, which in itself is more than most people.
