I find walking helps. I get terrible trapped wind and indigestion after a meal, especially when I'm at work 'cos I'm sitting down all day and I don't think it's good for your digestion. If I have a gentle walk after I've eaten lunch it seems to help. I think it must be to do with gravity helping things to get moving or something! X

i had really bad trapped wind once whilst playing football, the physio told me to hold an arm up straight and with the other gently tap my chest!!

it worked for me!

good luck?

or lie down on your left side? and put your arm above your head and stretch your body as far as you can. This also works for when you are too full from a completely glutonous meal. I think it is the left side, in any case, it is whichever way round a Roman Chaise Longe is.
lie on your back, pull your knees up and, with your knees together, first lean your knees to the left until your lef louches the floor, then do it on your right side. if that makes sense lol.
stand in a doorway grip hold of the door frame with hands and let your body hang from the frame, it stretches your torso and releases any trpped wind.
get someone to rub your back gently but firmly, like burping a baby!
fart, it helps to releive the gas
