A small excerpt on them: Telangiectasia are dilated superficial blood vessels. They may occur in rosacea, in certain systemic diseases (ataxia-telangiectasia, scleroderma) , or in long-term therapy with topical fluorinated corticosteroids; most cases are idiopathic (of unknown cause). Telangiectasia may also occur as a component of inherited disorders, including ataxia-telangiectasia and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
Do you have any other symptoms, or just red spots? Did anyone in your family have them? Where are they on your body? (all personal qs that you dont have to answer!!)
If you`re talking about small red dots flat to the skin ,not raised like normal spots they`re called petechiae they range in size from pinhead to about same size as a normal spot. They are localised haemorrages but I don`t think they`re harmful as I`ve had them for as long as I can remember, although they can occur with endocarditis. I`ve never seen doctor about them I got this info from medical book.
