B.O in one armpit

I suffer from body odour in my left armpit. I sweat quite a lot in both but more in my left. I use a brand name anti-perspirant deodorant and have tried most brands including mitchum. I also shower every morning.

How can I stop this from happening? It is very embarrasing, I don't understand why I smell in one armpit only although am sweating in both.

I believe we all have sweat glands in which case I suppose it's quite possible that for some reason those under your left armpit may have become blocked or may not be functioning properly. I would have a word with your GP.

I too notice that I sweat more one side than the other. I work in a kitchen so as you can imagine it aint a pretty sight. I find so long as I wash everyday, keep my pits shaved, as it's the dried sweat thats left behind that smells & on your clothes too and try not to wear tight tops, esp ones that are very tight under the arms. I haven't managed to stop it happening totally tho I'm afraid.
I find it very embaressing too, as it isn't nice and you end up very selfconcious about it, but your not alone :o)

hi billi, if it is very offensive and also sore, you could have yeast infection of some type. I would visit my GP if it was actually sore.

However, as wings said, it could just be the way you are made. My husband sweats alot, he has bad breathing problems which I think make it worse as you sweat more when you can't breathe, and he has found that the only deodorant that is effective for any decent amount of time at all is the sure deo cream. It is the only on he uses, and he makes me buy it for him as it is in the girls section!!!!!

Just a suggestion though. I hope you find a solution.
