What is the easyest, cheapest and quickest way of getting drunk (without drinking meths or antifreeze)

If you're not counting the hangover as part of the cost, a very cheap way would be strong cider. Personally I can't bear to be out of action the next day so the cost outweighs the benefits.

If you want a proper answer then cheap vodka and a bottle of cheap coke as a 50/50 mix that will get you mash-up in double quick time.

Snakebite used to cripple me. I've given up drinking it now, haven't touched it for about 4 years. Lager and Cider, 50/50 mix. Preferably strong cider, and the stringest lager you can afford. Tastes and looks like pi$$, but it will paralyse the muscles in your face within minutes, and spread to your legs in seconds. Might make you vomit though. Are you drinking to forget? What are you trying to forget, don't tell me, you've forgotten?

i agree i think this person is crying for help!!! I dont think people getting drunk is the best idea may be you should see a quack or talk to a decent friend. i dont like when people get depressed and start to drink ive been through it can destroy you 'cos once youv'e started you cant stop.

I have worked in many a bar in my time. No matter where the bar, all the 'hard' drinkers seem to favour a can of Special Brew topped up with a bottle of Gold Label. Tastes vile but sure to have you hallucinating in a short time.

The favoured drink in the County Tavern (N'pton) on a Sunday lunchtime 20 years ago was a "purple nasty". This is a snakebite with a pernod & black poured in it. By the way, the AB police have just stopped me using the word bu**er (not buffer but close) on another mail but a discussion like this continues unchecked.Strange.

local tramps use a can of special brew mixed with a bottle of QC (sherry) - apparently it tastes like a very crude whisky (i ought to test this theory).

Well, if you want the advice from this 'professional '( i.e. a recovering alcoholic) you'll drink vodka, our drink of choice nowadays, because the hangover from it is tolerable. This is because a bad hangover is not from the alcohol in a drink but the other ingredients, from which vodka is largely free.. Personally I could've done without the loss of job, health, money, family and friends, the constant feeling of panic and the dependency, not to mention the denial, that came from starting drinking as an 'answer', but nobody will stop you , if you are that determined. No problem dissolves in alcohol but you won't want to hear that ! AA will help anyone, even a 'beginner' to deal with this.Don't forget them if you ever do feel the drink taking over.

In a word - LAMBRINI! Ultra cheap and goes straight to your head, without the dangers of cider-or-vodka-induced vomit and very little hangover. It actually tastes alright to be honest! You can get a litre bottle for about 1.99 I think. Mr Mackey, mmkay!

Exercise for 2-3 hours at at high heart rate, drinking very little water, then drink two pints of strong lager very quickly! You will be legless within minutes!
