Not too sure where to put this but hey.

Does anyone know any hair products that actually do hold your hair up for a long time? many say they do but there it looses strength after about an hour!

If you have a punky style - the best way is sugar melted in warm water. Apply the mixture and dry it with a hair dryer. Otherwise - plenty of hairspray...

Only gel i've found that works for more than about 10 mins is the party proof one - L'Oreal is it? It's a bit like superglue, and a pain in the ass to get off your hands!

My hairdresser sells stuff by Chill which is good stuff. One of the girls there has a punky style and she says all she does in the morning is run some of the mashed (I think that's one) through her hair and it stays like that all day.

The strongest one is Nixon hair gel, and i gel, both available from afro-hair shops and around �2.99. They hold like steel, you can also get freeze hold spritz, different brands and all hold like you have used superglue. They wash and brush out well and smell really nice. Afro-hair products are ok for use on any hair type, and the excellent gels are often overlooked, they work better than gel available in 'normal' shops. Palmers cocoa butter brand products started out in afro caribbeam shops!
