I swim 5 or 6 times per week and my weight does not alter. We use a fair amount calories when swimming so yes you are likely to feel hungry afterwards. But swimming is considered to be the best exercise. It is good for the heart, circulation and lungs ------- if done correctly. I know several Channel swimmers and they do tend to be 'rounded' but not usually fat. But they are used to swimming in relatively cold water, indeed sometimes when there is ice on the lake, pond or reservoir.
Keep it up, preferably at least twice a weekl!
