Vegetable oil in Diesel engines?

My friend says I can put vegetable oil in my Diesel car (its a Range Rover), I think he's pulling my leg, is he?

My friend said I could put diesel in my chip pan and he was right, I could! Chips tasted horrible though and my kitchen burnt down, but it really was easy to do!!

As I noted there are some questions about rubber fuel line components on Land Rovers but it certainly looks cheaper but they do seem to mostly supply in reasonaly large quantities so you'd need storage.

deso & mdoo98, you can get a fuel enhancer. i use the chocolate flavor! electrochem uses the licorice & onion flavor. toddle pip, chaps!

Ha ha ha! Just revisiting some of my questions and answers and was wondering if Electrochem had stumbled across a sense of humour yet? Were you one of my teachers at school by any chance?
