Where are all the nice guys?

Me and my friend have both decided that we need to meet and make new friends as we are both so sick of the usual crowd of young annoying drunk guys in our town. The same old crowd that goes out at the weekend and the same old drunks you get trying to chat you up.

We want to meet older mature guys. Ones who aren't into a weekly p!ss up with the lads in the local club. But... apart from wine bars and the golf club we can't think of where to find these potentially perfect older mature men! Any ideas?

We have decided to go to some of the nice wine bars in the area and maybe to try and go on a day we know that the football is on. If they are in the wine bar and not watching the football then thats good enough for me! Lol

actually Ruby it never occurred to me to suggest my 24 year old son, but he is away star gazing with his new super powered telescope at the moment and so i can't ask him what he thinks. He has long blonde hair though, mind he is very clean! lol

Dot I can't think of anything I'd rather do than star gaze with a telescope! That has got to be the best thing ever! I don't normally go for blondes or for guys with long hair but it doesn't bother me. Although I doubt I could stand you as a mother in-law.. ;o)

That's a shock then! he has three telescopes and he is studying astronomy.

Wow! Really? Thats well cool. I have one but its rubbish. Lol. But me and my housemate were going to go camping somewhere and just stargaze all night but then I moved out.

are you homeless then Ruby?? since you moved out if you are you can star gaze all night, I wish I was younger and single I would ask you out,no doubt about that,you sound lovely, I will have a word with my lads, one is 6ft 2 the other 5ft 10 both got dark hair,

My son camps out most weekends to avoid the light polution, he has a huge pirate flag that he flies to be sure he can get back to his site as it is in a local dense wood. He is a strong environmentalist and noone would ever know he had camped anywhere he prides himself on that. He can tell you anything about anything in the stars and is mesmerising once he starts relating it to human behavior. He is writing some big piece on it all. he got the brains cos the other two are dizzy.

Blimey Dot. He really is into it then isn't he. I don't think I could stand to camp out every weekend..I'd miss the home comforts.. Lol
