Tongs do not hold my hair. I think I need some super setting lotion.

Someone has suggested rags, how do I do this?

Thanks!

i use my ghd straighteners-and use ghd spray as i remove the straighteners, holds all night!!
Rags !! My mother used to put my hair in rags as a child in the fifties ..but if want pain ....here goes...
Wash your hair ...get it nearly dry ..take a long section of hair and a strip of material (my mother used to rip up old cotton things.) You need a piece of material about six inches long and an inch wide.Put the bottom bit of hair onto the rag...make sure it's smooth and roll it up the hair and tie it.Do this all over and then spend an uncomfortable night in bed ! I used to pull the blasted things out and had one side ringlets and one side straight and a clipped ear for my trouble!
When you take the rags out just pull the hair down and you will get ringlets.Problem being it is difficult to do yourself ....you need someone to put them in for you.
here you go ..this gives a much better explanation than i could !

You could just try heated rollers. Use a smallish size, but not the tiny ones, and wind the hair so the rollers are at a 90 degree angle to your shoulders/back.

When they've been in long enough, unwind them carefully, don't pull them out. Use your fingers to make them into the right shape and don't brush or comb them!
