I would also recommend a detox - the colon is an extremely important organ in the cleansing of toxins from the body, and so poor colon function can result in lower resistance to colds and infections.
I take probiotic supplements (Super 8) and a colon cleansing tablet (OxCgen), which help get rid of any nasties. x
Linda 51 the use of echinacer has recently been proven to be an effective remedy in cold prevention (see you can say anything on the internet) . It can not be a placebo, as it is preventative rather than a cure. Therefore how can something "pretend" to be prevented?? You either get a cold or you don't?
Also, the colon is a "store cupboard" for bacterial nasties NOT viral. It will have no effect on the prevention of colds whatsoever. It is like saying all because you have had a good enema recently, you won't catch anything if a tramp sneezes in your face. What nonsense.
The only sense malaise has said is Zinc and Vit C. However, if the diet is good there is no need for them. Esp Vit C as the body can not store it anyway. A few oranges or veggies a day will fulfill the RDA easily.
I am but one man. However, the only supplement I take is echinacea. and I haven't had a cold in about 14 years.
