Hi hun - sorry you're still under the weather.I was referred to a neurologist a few years ago for the same problem, but an incredibly intense headache.I had numerous tests including blood tests and an MRI scan, nothing alarming, and they didn't find a thing wrong.Headache just went of its own accord a few days later.

xx

I had to see an neurologist once but it was for Epilepsy so its probably a completely different test. I just had wires attached to my head and I lay on a bed while they checked me over for certain things.

I am sure you will be fine hunny.

Hi loopyc, sorry to hear you're suffering. I was also sent to a neurologist when I was having a lot of tension headaches - we had a chat about things like, whether my lifestyle had changed in any way and where the pain was, and I had to lay down whilst he tested my reactions (running a pencil up my foot, etc.). I also had to see a cardiologist about the headaches - I assume to check my blood pressure, etc. The neurologist then sent me for a CT scan. Similarly to kazzi, all of the tests turned out okay, and the headaches just went away a little later! Hope all goes well, xx.
I had to see a Neurologist too loopyc for pins and needles in my face. All she did was checked different things, reflexes, my eyes etc and did an MRI. They didn't find anything and put it down to stress, but it certainly wasn't horrible seeing the neurologist!

hi loopc.

goin back some years, i went to see a neuro surgeon. i had a headache for over a year. (the after efects of a massive migrane) every day i had pain, everyday i put up with it. saw my own GP now and again and was given all types of tablets. eventualy, i asked to see a neurologist.

there was no problem, they are just people the same as we are, but they play with brains ! found my doctor to be a great bloke, sat me down and chatted. did the usual ear, eye tests and went into my medical records.

my problem didnt need operating on, so i cant tell you about that, but these doctors seem to have more time and respect for people than the local A&E.

Sorry i cant be more specific.
