Was watching the Beckam party last night and thought if a footballer, or anyone else for that matter, earned 100,000 per week what, after Nat Insurance and Inc Tax, would their take home pay be.

Also would they be entitled to a State Pension and if so how much.

Apologies if this is not the right Posting.

Dont know. Didnt want to watch it but the wife did. I found it very interesting and entertaining. If it is repeated watch it.

I believe as a foreinger he will be tax free...........

In this country 4800 free, 25200 at 22.5% 70000 at 40% (minus this, add a little of that, times 3.5 minus (4%) therefore his take home pay after NAT INS and income tax would be.....................................

62750 per week (ish)

Thanks. Definitely more than me
Don't know about NI but most high paid footballers negociate tax-free salaries, ie 100,000 per week means that - the club pay the tax.
Question Author
Gef, Is that right? So when they say 100,000 per week, is that what they get in pocket?
It's being repeated next week on ITV2 - check the radio times website for the exact details.
thank you khana you are a star x x x
Your welcome nursecarla, although i've just realised its not showing on the radio times web site yet. Anyway, it's 9PM on ITV2 on the 6th June.
That's what I am led to believe Big Al and don't forget that does not include bonuses or the money they make from sponsorship, image rights etc.

Hi Gef,

Dont doubt you. Have a look at the same question I posted in Money and Finance. Someone broke the figures down. What amazed me is the amount Clubs pay in stamps. Should have trained harder when I was younger!!
