Sorry to hear that electric, the best method of analgesia (assuming your not allergic) is to take 2 Ibuprofen then 2 hours later paracetamol and so on throughout the day. Provided you don't exceed the daily dose of either. This as of course you know will only give short term relief, so good luck at the dentists!

just falling off the beaten path again, electricblue, did you know you can get temporary fillings from the local chemist! i didn't until i was waiting for a prescription one day and had too much time on my hands and was just mooching about... its actually quite amazing what you can get from a chemist!!!!

oh yeah, nursey, i'm manic once a month too! but other than that, I get the idea we are both v nice people :o))))
