1920's hair styles

I'm going to a 1920's party, and as I can't recreate the typicl flapper hair style with the fringe, I thought I'd go for the other one often associated with that period. Has anyone seen the style, where there are several deep waves in the hair. I've been wondering how to do this. Are there any hairdressers out there who can help?

I trained to be an apprentice hairdresser many moons ago but gave it up because of the low wages which i regret now! :( the style is called the " marcel wave" you have to use a fine tooth comb which you can still buy from chemists i think..wash your hair and put a lot of setting lotion- also from a chemist shop or any other outlet you can find-and starting from the crown of your head part your hair down the middle and comb down to the sides-comb down on one side about two inches leaving the comb in place and place a finger just past where the comb stops and sort of nudge the hair forward when youve done that put the next finger to the one youve used flat to trap the "wave" youve just made - repeat this till youve finished one side-being careful not to disturb the one wave before - hope ive made this clear how to do it-practice and itl turn out right- just leave it to dry naturally and hope it works for you - good luck

forgot to say -when youve done the first wave its a forward nudge of the hair and the 2nd wave is a nudge back then forward then back etc,
