Hi,

Has anyone ever been on a Spa Day/Retreat - are they worth the money?

It's my 30th birthday in a couple of months and my parents have asked me what I would like - I was thinking of having one of these - you know the kind of thing, massage, facial, manicure, sauna, etc, but I don't know if they are worth the �150+ asking price for the luxury days!

Also, do you know of any great ones in the North East - I only know of Seaham hall Hotel or Matfen hall and they're REALLY expensive?

Oooh a Spa day sounds like a lovely pressie.

A friend of mine went to Seaham Hall Spa - yes it is expensive, but she said it was amazing!!

Go for it - you're only 30 once! :o)

hoar cross is in the north near uttoxeter it is lovely you can have a day for �59 that is with use of the pool jacuzzi, sauna, or for �99 you get use of everything a facial, manicure, pedicure or hair style and a massage. this was two years ago so it may of changed slighty it sounds a bit expensive but it is well worth it x

can definately recommend Eden Day Spa at Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire.
You go just for the day at for �65 you get unlimited use of the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, aqua detox centre, gym, plus 2 activities sessions (ie yoga, salsa class), outdoor activities, tennis, golf driving range, walks, bicycle rides etc plus 3 course meal in their restaurant.
I've been 3 times since last June its brill.
For a bit more you can have a facial (Which is so relaxing I fell asleep) or a back massage

I have recently brought my partner a spa day and it only cost around �65, The Sanctuary,Covent Garden London. Why not make a weekend of it and spent some time sight seeing in London, or see a show. They have lots of different spa's as well as other things going on.
