Is anyone else having a pants day today? Mine started off really awful by being tripped up getting on the train, falling head first in, hurting my wrist and knee and losing my shoe under the train! No-one helped me or asked if i was ok! I missed the train but luckily got the shoe back. Then I came to work and got in trouble for a mistake that my colleague made and wouldn't own up too!! And now my phone has stopped working!! I don't think it can get much worse, but there's still plenty of time today!! I'm putting it down to the date today!! So is anyone else suffering or are some people having good days??

Thats awful, how could anyone ignore you falling like that. I hope you werent hurt.

So far today ive woken with a sore throat, my son has been crying since 11am and refusing to go to sleep and i accidently sat in a bowl of baby food, getting it all over me and the sofa in the process. Ive no idea how i managed to do that.

I am having good day! I found out this morning that I got the job I was interviewed for yesterday. I spoke to my Ex on the phone and he sounds miserable.. :o).. and I am off to baby sit tonight for my friend. I have some activities planned for her 2 little boys. We are going to make masks. Lol. I hate going unprepared coz then they get out every single toy they own and throw them about.

Thanks Rubyrose, I'm glad someone is having a good day!! I love babysitting, it's so much fun!! I never thought about taking things though, thats very good thinking!! I hope my day gets better and that nothing else bad happens!! After this morning I don't think I could take anything else!!

redcrx, I'm sorry you're having a bad day too - I hope your throat gets better and that your little boy stops crying!! Thanks for your sympathies! Unfortunately I was hurt, I sprained my wrist a few days ago and landed on it today when I fell so I'm going to get it looked at this evening to make sure i haven't done anymore damage!!

Hey Ktlou.. Maybe I am having all your good luck and tomorrow my day will go pants and yours will be good? Its all getting evened out! I have never babysat these particular kids on my own before as me and my ex used to babysit them together but now I am gonna be alone so I need to occupy them with activities. They out number me now too. Lol. One of them is 4 and the other is 3. I hope they don't lose interest and go and get all their toys out! They make such a mess.

I am sure you luck will change... its all Karma. It will even out and you will have a great day soon. I just know tomorrow my day will be pants coz today was good.

im having the worst day ever, i put on a pair of sandals this morning and they were rubbing me and i didnt have any plasters then my hayfever started to kick in and my eyes are streaming and i feel all sweaty and hot, at work my internet and phone line has been down for 4 hours and iv got no money. i will be glad when today is over!!!! damn devil!

I hope so Rubyrose, although I wouldn't wish a bad day on anyone!! Hopefully we'll both have good days tomrrow! The sun will still be shining so maybe it'll be a better day!! Good luck with the babysitting - at that age i'm sure you'll have great fun!!

Interesting theorem Ruby... the laws of thermodynamics state that the total energy of the universe remains constant; I wonder if the total bad luck of the universe remains constant as well? Therefore, the longer you go without bad luck, the more someone else is suffering it. Or worse - the more likely it is that you will eventually have really rotten luck. Let's not dwell on that.

My advice to ktlou on how to make the day better is: take the dishonest colleague, get them in a necklock and force their head towards the paper shredder until they agree to own up to the mistake you're being blamed for. I despise people like that. Also, all too common that people on trains don't budge to help someone - as you say, all it would take is "Are you okay?" How did you retrieve your shoe from under the train, by the way?

My day's going well. Busy, getting stuff done, invigilated an exam this morning, no problems (yesterday they had people with notes written on their legs, can you believe that? They won't be having nice days when they're up before the Misconduct Panel!)

Don't place too much emphasis on the date - it's all down to a misinterpretation anyway, it's actually nothing to do with Satan.

Well backdrifter, apparently loss of shoe under a train is a fairly common occurance (never happened to me before) and so the train guard had a long pole with a hook on the end that he got it out with! Had to wait til after the train had left though which was nerve-wracking, thought my brand new day old Birkenstocks would get ruined but apparently not!!

I don't really think it's the date, it just seemed like coincidence that the worst day I have for a really long time happens on a day like today!

As for the dishonest colleague, I think the necklock sounds like a fab idea......... xD
