i have two friends who i spend alot of time with, due to the fact there bfs are friends with my bf, but i hav noticed that they are really two faced and one night (il call theses two friends mary* and kate*) mary had a fight with her bf and he started to tell me all the things both of them had said about me, i have asked them both but it caused conflict in my little social group. so i just 4got about it but i really dont no what to do if i dont speak to them then as i say this little social group of friends i have will have a big impact on my bf, dont get me wrong we have a laugh most of the time but now i no what they are like i dont feel the same!!

I wouldnt waste my time on people like that Sam. What does your boyfriend say about it? Tell them to get a life, then they will really have a reason to speak about you!

I dont get too friendly with my bfs mates gfs because I think it can get real messy if someone splits up. He has his friends, I have mine.

I think alot of people are like that. I know two couples, the men are friends of mine from way back and all the ladies (incl my wife) are now friends because of this connection.

If we meet with couple number 1 they spend half the night taking the p out of couple number 2, and as you say "slagging them off" and if we meet separately with couple number 2 vise versa. I may be wrong but my wife and I only tend to do this between ourselves if we have an opinion on something and try not to back stab, but it does make me wonder what they say about us when both couples 1 and 2 are together. It doesn't keep me awake at night but I do wonder how empty their lives must be if all they can talk about is other people behind their backs.

octivius that sound like the exact situation im in. my bf has been mates with these two friends for years and he thinks when he invites them around that they should bring ther gfs so i can i have someone to talk to. dont get me wrong i have my own friends who i spend time with alone and my bf has OTHer friends he spends time alone with its just these two couples and im not the type of person to cause an argument i just get on with things.

Hi sam, hope you are ok, these two aren't friends to you,if they are slagging people off behind there backs they aren't worth worrying about,real friends look out for each other, if I was you I wouldn't tell them much at all,just be polite,when they do come round,spit in there coffee,they are a waste of time you deserve better than those two,as you say you have your own friends anyway, take care, Ray

i would not want to be friends with people like that. they cannot be trusted, friends are people you can trust.

you and your BF should go out by yourselves. you all will meet new people and make new friends.

If these two so called 'friends' are back stabbers, then they never were or never will be real good friends.

You are much better off without people like them in your life. Just enjoy the nicer genuine people around you.
