Eye Bags!!

Hey all,

Does anyone have any advice for reducing bags under the eyes. Please don't say sleep as I'm in bed around ten and have to wake at six every morning. Even if I was to go to bed at nine I can guarantee that I will still have bags. Any advice would be really great and anything that has worked for others too.

P.S have just read that hemorrhoid cream works, anyone used this and is it unsafe in any way!

Hi loobie,yes my friend uses a certain pile cream and she swears by it.

I myself tho have had awful dark circles and puffy bags under my eyes for as long as I can remember.Then I went for a skin makeover and was talked into buying OLAY Eye Lifting Serum.I swear its a miracle.I was using it for just a week and met my friend for lunch,who asked how on earth I had got rid of the bags as she couldn't believe how they had gone.I use it every morning and every eve and it is my little treasure!

hi loobie, im no expert but I think drinking lots of water may help. Also dont use rich moisturisers round your eye area as they are heavy and i think they can cause dark circles (think i read that somewhere)

yes loobie - as pixi says drink loads and loads of water.Whatever else I drink in the day,I always havd 2 pints of water when I wake up and loads throught the rest of the day.

I am told by my doctor that eye bags often indicate food intollerance and other allergies.

lol gessoo.yes I went down the allergy road - even saw an acupuncturist.But no change.You can buy it anywhere - I got mine in Boots in town,but they sell it most places.Im very sceptical bout most beauty claims but this stuff is unbelieveable.I also use the Olay moisturiser,but not on the eye area.

I swear by Clarins stuff and their Beauty Flash Balm is my life saver. However, their eye stuff just didn't work on me. I shall now stop using moisturiser around my eyes. I didn't realise that you shouldn't.

However, I have heard that gently massaging eye bags with your little fingers in rotational movement helps to dispel them as it gets rid of the fluid build up under the skin. I keep meaning to do it, but forget!

I do suffer from numerous allergies by the way.

Quite seriously, it makes me feel awful when people ask if I'm OK because I look so tired. When I am really tired, the bags reach the floor. I had some passport photos taken not long ago. I wouldn't use them - I looked as if I was on death's doorstep.

I know what you mean Gessoo, I'm really conscious of them. I love my eyes cos they're so dark brown but the bags completely ruin them!!! They take away the twinkle. I hope that by posting this thread I have helped you get some answers as well. And anyone else too!!!

Funnily enough loobie, I have really nice big, dark brown eyes which are totally spoiled by the wretched bags!!

My daughter who did a beauty therapy course, was informed by her tutor, that Preparation H is very good for shrinking bags under eyes!

Well seeing as it shrinks piles, it must do the same for eyes too!
