whats good for acid reflux, other than milk?

i use Gaviscon Cool liquid, but i keep mine in the fridge, gross but really effective and the only thing that has helped with my constant indigestion

Not necessarily milk. I believe milk/diary products often causes mine, and I have read a lot of people have some degree of intolerance to cows milk.

I was prescribed gaviscon tablets when I had a liver problem (??!) They are the most vilest things I think I have ever tasted so I gave them to my dad as he has chronic indigestion. And he now swears by them, so I guess the vileness of them is worth it!

i too swear by gaviscon, although horrible. Boots do their own strong indegestion tablets which don't taste so bad. A midwife once told me that if you eat a whole tablet your stomach makes more acid to counteract the alkalai. She told me to bite of a small piece of tablet off and eat that, then put the rest at the side of my mouth in my cheek, and let it dissolve slowly. I always do it this way now and it does seem to work.

See your Doctor ,reflux acn cause throat cancer if not treated properly .the acid reflux canburn the oesophagus .I know I have been a sufferer for many,many years and am under the care of my doctor .
