Do people with brown eyes see the same colours as people with blue or green or hazel eyes? I mean, how do we know, cos we all learn that the sky is blue and the grass is green, but what if i see the sky as a particular hue and someone else sees it totally differently - we would still know they are different. For example, i may see the sky as the colour you see the grass, but because it (sky) has been named as blue, then everything similar to that hue would be also blue...do you get it....?

good batch eh?

Yes but surely if you then point to something else of the same colour you'd notice that your versions of that colour were different?

B00 don't start u will give yourself a migraine ;)
I know - rofl, it made my head hurt trying to type down what I meant in my head. In end, I couldnt do it 'n typed that rubbish instead ^
At least you are consistent B00, this may be an alien attack

I know what yir getting at. If you imagine always looking at things through a colour filter, the colour seen is different from the real colour but you would accept the colour as being that seen through the filter. Both you and someone else would still use the same words for the colours each sees because you know no different.

i see what you mean, but eye colour does not affect the bit you actually see through - the pupil and the lens. the colour is just round the egde.

have a look at some coloured contact lenses to see how the colour works

im confussed

I have blue eyes and am colour blind on red/green. I can see a red poppy in a green field and red v green traffic lights but I just can not tell the difference between a brown snooker ball or a red snooker ball on a green background

Hmm, interesting....but Wot does dot h mean by 'good batch'??

LOL! I have come back after seeing your reply to the thread from the other day. In a nutshell i was meaning, (andu will either get it and go doh! Or be upset and bothered, or none of these, ) perhaps you had been on the moonshine, as the question was too confusing for me probably, I get tired easily my answers get lazy, I don't intentionally offend, but i know I can unintentionally offend.
