I find it difficult to believe that a doctor would fail to take a patient's problem seriously - is it the condition he doesn't believe in, or the possibility that you suffer from it? In either case, I would request a second opinion - maybe see another doctor in your local surgery. Sleep aponea is a serious condition - ic auses strain on the heart, and should be investigated. Seek further advice.
