I had a contraceptive injection at the end of Nov. I didnt renew it as i put on so much weight. After having a dramatic blood loss in February I have had no period since. Can anyone tell me if I can get pregnant during this time without a period and if this is normal to wait this long to get your periods back? I was extremely regular before.

it took me about a year to get back to normal to be on the safe side you should use condoms as a freind of mine got pregnant after coming off the injection she had no periods in between x

Of course it is possible to get pregnant before you have had a period as you will ovulate 14 days before the bleed. If you fall pregnant at time of that ovulation then obviously you wont get your period. Speak to your nurse or GP and in the meantime take precautions.

Thanks for replying. I just wasnt sure as having no period i thought that it wouldnt be possible to get pregnant. Maybe I should take a test just to make sure!! Will start taking precautions now.
