I have had a gap in my front teeth for the last couple of years, thing is, I never had it before, it just gradually became a gap!

Has this happened to anyone before or know why? when I went to the dentist, I forgot to ask - believe it or not!!

It could be for a number of reasons. How old are you? The jaw's growth often changes the appearance of the front teeth. Also if you had any teeth removed especially the ones out back that would make the teeth spread out a bit more. Even the usual wear and tear. Don't worry about it. And, hey in some countries in Africa the gap in the front teeth is often considered a sign of royalty.

Nothing odd at all, I had a gap all my life until about 40 and now I miss it. The teeth move continually (otherwise braces wouldn't work) and mine have all moved inwards. Yours have clearly moved in the opposite direction. What determines whose go which way is for the dentist to say...
My teeth did that, for years they were too close together and overcrowded, then a gap started to appear. I had crowns fitted eventually.
