bloody heat rash!!

hiya i have really severe heat rash and my doctors appointment aint until wednesday. does anyone on A.B know of any cream or way i can can stop the itching it is also very painful.

My son had it last week and i used sudocrem on it. It was gone overnight.

I hope that you just have heat rash and not what I now get which is Polymorphic Light Eruption(blisters).The pain and itching are awful.

For prickly heat you could try a very cool bath with bicarbonate of soda in,or a cool shower.Then calamine lotion,if you dont have that then try aloe vera gel.And regular antihistamine tablets(get from any chemists)

Pop into any chemist, ask to see the pharmacist and tell him/her your problem....

They are more knowledgeable on treatment for such things as they have studied all medicines etc.

Advice from them is most helpful and can save endless appointments to the doctor(s) for lots of people....In fact the Government/NHS do urge people to consult the pharmacist(s) for many issues i.e. effect of drugs/prescription. If the pharmacist is unable to help they will always suggest a visit to your GP.
