I have had a cough for a few days and my ears were all muffled and i read that blocked ears can cause i tickly cough, so i went out and got some ear drops to clear my ears.
It says on the bottle to do it twice a day for four days so i did it lastnight and it cleared my ears straight away and they felt fine, i woke up this morn put some more drops in and one ear is fine and the other well its hard to explain...its not so much muffled its just that it fees like the liquid is rolling about in my ear and its really irritating me.

Any avice would be great
Thanks

Put a piece of cotton wool in after you put the drops in. It`ll help the drops stay in place.

yeah i did that i tilted my head for 2 mins put some cotton in my ear and sat up but it feels like theres summat in my ear still not so much blocked more along lines of liquid sitting in my ear :(
After you've put drops in for 3 or 4 days the nurse at your local surgery will happily syringe your ear(s) for you, it'll be like heaven after that! Now and again I stick a cotton bud in too far and block my drum with wax and go deaf until I see the nurse!! It doesn't hurt, I quite like it actually!

sounds fun haha

like i said it dont feel blocked feels like when u come out the shower with water in your ears but the water aint coming out
The last time I blocked the wax it kept moving around and felt like you say (especially when burping or yawning!). Either way it'll sort it out totally for you if nothing else helps, but the nurse won't do it unless you convince her you've been putting in the drops for 3 or 4 days to soften the wax, otherwise I guess it could hurt a bit.

ahhh i see knowing my luck it will be painful

I will leave it a few days see if it dislodges itself
Keep putting drops in anyway, at least you'll have the option for a jet wash if it doesn't dislodge itself!
Question Author
hehe @ jet wash

although i think if this clears soon im gonna leave it alone
Drops are fine apparently but getting over enthusiastic with the buds makes me feel like a naughty school kid when I see the nurse! I can't help it, if there's wax there I gotta dig it out! Think I learned my lesson the last time as I couldn't get an appointment even though I'd put drops in for days and it only takes 2 minutes! Best thing apparently is to leave it alone and finger wipe around with a towel/hanky, nice!!
Question Author
Nah stuff the hanky, u cant beat a cotton bud spesh when u have an itchy ear :D
My uncle perforated his eardrum using cotton buds. I would NEVER put one near my ears.
