i have an itchy rash all over that i've spoken to nhs direct about, they reckon its an allergy to something and told me to make an appointment with my doctor (which i've done but isnt til next week) and they said in the meantime an antihistimine should help.
Piriton is a good one for a rash. It's been around for years and is well proven.

It can however, make some people a little drowsy.
was just about to say that myself about Piriton! I always take it if I am desperate at work. There is another one though called Clatitin which is a non drowsy one!
Go into Boots or your local pharmacy and speak to the pharmacist!! There maybe something else that can help!!
that was claritin! not clatitin
Brand names are a Rip off, just buy Boots own antihistimines, same ingredients/strength does the same job, The same applies to any creams ie E-45 etc
piriton is the best one my mum gets prickly heat and she tried these and they worked great!
Boots own non-drowsy antihistamine works for me & (at my local branch) is on offer at the moment. It's the same as Clarityn (contains loratadine).
I buy boots one a day tablets which are buy 1 get 1 free at the moment.
My mum uses Morrisons own brand one a day but they have a different active ingredient as she doesnt find boots own works.
I agree about buying the non-branded equivalents - can save a fortune.

Not sure that Piriton has a non-branded version but you can check the ingredients and/or ask the Pharmacist.
boots do a piriton equivalent for children so may do adults one
Tesco's are cheap
