How much would you steal?

Of course stealing anything is wrong but what amount would you consider serious and what amount would you consider stealing?.I really wanted an i-pod mini and my Dad said I already had an i-pod so was not allowed one so I stole one.I would consider what I did as mild robbery.I think it was worth about 130 pounds but was wondering what you would see as serious robbery.

I don't think if you steal a small amount of money or an unvaluable item like an i-pod the police would be interested at all.

An iPod is not an unvaluable item. To most people �130 is a lot of money. By stealing anything you are hurting another person. That is never right.

Whether the police would be interested or not is irrelevent SR, the fact you are not bothered or see that you have done anything wrong, speaks volumes about you and your morals. It says even more if your lying about stealing in the first place just to cause a reaction on here!
Stealing of any sort affects everyone eventually as it causes prices to go up, so THANX SR cos I can never afford **** all!!!

do you no how much goes into an ipod its not just the cost ,people spend hours getting their music on to them they are very personnal to some people, but i suppose you wouldnt think about that after all you are just out for yourself and stuff everyone else!

come off the drugs and use the pocket money dad gives you to buy one. Failing that sell your �50k car and buy the shop.
As you are being so good and charitable today, why not go to your police station and tell them what you have done, make sure you tell them that its only �130 and that its not a serious theft wont you.

I think there is almost a case to be made for relieving Sainsbury's of an orange if you are truly poor and on the breadline, but not an ipod. You might get one with the Sound of Music on it.
