How did everyone spend their Sunday? Was it a good day for you?or has it been a bad day for you? I went for a long walk with my husband ( we have both put on a couple of extra pounds) Trouble is, in this balmy weather,
we called in a pub on the way back & had a drink, then decided on the spare of the moment to have a barbecue, just managed to finish the food off when the heavens opened & we had thunder & lightning - grabbed the food & ran indoors, still enjoyed it though :0)

As always I have abused my Sunday by doing nothing with it!! Up at 10, so bits on the computer, get work lesson plans done for tomorrow.. started to watch "Cul De Sac" and fell asleep. Woke up just now and the day is practically done.. Boo!
Well, I was intending on having a nice lie-in this morning, but was rudely awoken by a gardener banging on the door at 9 this morning who our landlord had sent to sort out our garden. I have been very domesticated today, doing shopping, washing, hoovering, washing-up and cleaning the kitchen. Am now going to put my feet up all evening...
i have had a bit of a lie in, tidied up, done 3 loads of washing (and got them dry) , done a mini manicure, taken time out to text a friend for half an hour which is difficult for me as I cannot use text speak very well, been to B&Q for some bits, cooked a Sunday roast (Chicken), eaten it and put the pots in the dishwasher and tidied the kitchen, oh and been to the tip, spent two hours at my blokes annoying him, can't wait to have a sit down tonight and catch up on Corrie, wish there was an extra day in the week, (i did that once before lol)

Robbo 82- Thinking positively, maybe you wouldn't have done all the thing's you got through had the gardner not knocked on your door, don't you feel good about that :0)

hi dot.hawkes- where do you get your energy from? I couldn't have even entertained the idea of cooking a Sunday roast in this heat! Hope whoever it was made for really appreciated you for that! You sound a very loyal friend going to the trouble of texting them when it's such a long drawn out process. Give yourself a pat on the back & pour yourself a drink :0)
Have done absolutely nothing ..lolled around in the garden most of the day doing the crosswords in the Sunday papers and reading a book,. .took poor old Shaney for two very short walks in the park opposite ..far too hot for him.Chatted on the phone to my son and Mum in law and brother.
Made us a salad with lettuce from my garden which we had with ham and new potatoes and strawbs and cream for afters..Having a brief look on here now ..terribly addictive.... and then back to the garden with my whisky and water with lots of ice to catch the last of the evening rays.

Shaneystar 2- enjoy what's left of the evening, we have thunder & lightning here in Manchester.
Got up at 6.00 an rode the horses bc it's too hot later in the day, went to the car boot sale, came home and played on the trampoline and in the pool with the kids and slobbed in the garden. Cooked some beef to have with a salad, did a bit of work and phoning, spent more time in the pool and just about to ride again before going to the pub with the kids and my wife for something to eat.Had a lovely day actually, weather was incredible and the kids were happy so what could be nicer:)
I am off to Wimbledon tomorrow so am packing my bags.I live near Wimbledon so am staying at home but there is still alot to pack.Waited 22 hours to hear ''unfaitful'' by Rianna on the top 40 and it was not played.Went to Mass cooked dinner and had a long bath with my broken arm over the side of the bath.
Husband has a boat, so we went across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and had lunch. The weather was gorgeous. Lots of people had the same idea but there is plenty of room for everyone.
