why do footballers play in nylon tshirts?! surely it would be better for them to play in a cotton top which would keep them cooler allow them to sweat etc?! is it simply because nylon tops look better and so sell more?? or is there actually a reason behind this?

Paper shirts would be a better idea! Then the guy with a chunk in his hand couldn't possibly shrug at the ref with a look of utter innocence saying: "Who, me? Me grab an opponent's shirt? Absurd!"
maybe the sponsors logo looks shinier on a nylon top?
I've always wondered that as well - maybe it saves on the ironing!!
They are 85% polyester and 15% nylon
Got to be something to do with washability ~ and no ironing!
