To be honest I've never had one myself but I know a few people who have and they always look terrible! My Aunty had one done last week and paid 30 for it and she hates it. The side of her legs have been missed and the bits that have been done look a very fetching orange colour.
it might sound a bit poncy but try the johnsons holiday skin. its moisturiser with a bit of self tan that builds up a tan if you use it everyday. it'd more natural looking and doesn't streak to badly. Plus it's a damn sight cheaper at about 5 a bottle. Only downside is that you do have to use it everyday to build up and maintain the tan as obviously it washes off more easily than a spray tan.
good question china - not sure about the spray tans, but I know that the moisturising tans have no sunscreen in them and so you tan(or burn!!) through them!
Yeah... I use the johnsons one on my legs as they never change colour but am so scared of turning orange that I only use it about once every two weeks which I think kind of defeats the purpose!
You could try the moisturisers Mr D but I have to say, they can streak if you're not careful and I don't think that'd be too great if that happened to you... it's hard for girls to get away with that let alone blokes... so I guess that's a pretty useless suggestion! Sorry!
The 1st answer sounds like the aunt went to a person with a spray gun - I go to one where a machine does it and you get told to stand in front of it with your arms out in front of you and then you twist at your waist (from side to side) while it is spraying and everywhere DOES get covered.
Yes you can still tan (or burn in my case lol) that's why I ony use them before holidays - so I don't look like the typical white Brit on the beach and by the time the spray tan is wearing off I'm getting the natural sun tan
I tan very easily but I use the moisturisers for my white bits and also before I go brown.I think I luckily have it down to a fine art as I dont seem to streak.
I had a St. Tropez spray tan and it lasted around a week. I didn't have any streaking and it cost 25. I felt a bit stupid holding poses for the person with the gun, but got over that! It did smell a bit too. I've been using the Dove moisturiser with tan every other day and it's quite good.
Thanks for al you answers. I think i will get some fake tan, and try and do it myself for a week before holidays. The only problem is I have quite hairy legs and its tough getting an even finish as the hair gets matted. Any tips here? If shaving legs is the answer, do girls find that a bit unmanly from a straight guy?
I don't know if it's not manly but I don't like men without hair on their legs I have to say... that and if you do it once you'll have to keep doing it as you'll just get stubley legs, not attractive I'm afraid Mr D.
