titanium plates !

I broke my ankle back in September, and have titanium plates in each side of my ankle. Can anyone tell me if I will set off the airport x-ray machine when I go on holiday later this year !?! Many thanks :-)

firstly the thing your luggage goes through is an x-ray machine. What you walk through is a kind of metal detector and generally speaking non ferrous metals dont tend to set them off. So its not likely you will cause problems!

and if it does, i'm sure you're supposed to have an amendment in your passport of distinctive features or something.
