i suffer with heavy painful periods,i want to get them tablets from the docs which help.but i cant remember the name you can take them to stop your period too

I take Mefenamic Acid tablets for heavy bleeding and to ease discomfort.

do they really make it alot better ive been going docs for ages now they gave me these tablets ive been trying to ring them this morning but as normal cant get through i know you cant buy them over the counter,thanks for that though i will ask about them too cheers

well I went to the docs as mine had got so bad I couldnt even stand with the pain and I was literally flooding.I have only just started them - you start them on the forst day of your period and they definitely do seem to be helping.

you sound the same as me,for 2 days when im on i cant go out too scarred as im flooding that much some of the days ive got 3 towels on, theyve said i may need a hysterecomy(cant spell it)but i dont want that im only 36.

snap! Im only 38.Mine used to be so light that all my friends were envious,but the last 6 months I don't quite know whats happened.I went to bed during my period one eve,woke up and I had to throw the sheets in the bin as there were wrecked!

mine have always been heavy but since i had my daughter nearly 3 years ago and had to have an op too its just got worse god i wish i was a man ha ha

The ones I had a while ago for a similar problem were called something like Norethisterone.
