i was told some years ago that if you measure your kids height when they are three years of age, or there abouts and double it. you will have the full grown height worked out...
anyone else been told this, and is it correct ???

no, it's at two years. It proved pretty accurate when I tried it.
I was told the same thing, but at four, not three, which one is right, if at all, I don't know.

I posted this some time ago, and actually got slated for it, can't remember who, but it happened.
I was told 3 years also.
I've heard this before though no-one ever seems to agree on the age, lol! If you think about it logically though, there aren't many 3ft tall 2 year old boys, but plenty of 6ft men in the world!
growth hormones kick in at puberty which will determine height.

i am 5' 2" and there is no way any 2 year olds come up to my waist
3 foot high at two years is perfectly normal

Obviously, there's a range, as there is for adult hights, but 3ft at two will mean 6ft when fully grown. Here too:

I was told 3 by my sister in law. her son measured 3foot 4 at that age but his dad is 6 foot 6 so she thought it may be about right.
