Seen a ghost?
25 Answers
When my sister was really young (about 2 or 3) she said she had seen an old lady upstairs who was holding a baby and smiling at her. When my father went to visit his aunt (who has some psychic ability) she told him that his mother had visited my sister along with my father's sister who died as a baby!
I hope that made sense. Spooky isn't it.
Has anyone on AB ever seen a ghost? When, where...? No silly replies please.

Also my mum said that she took me to a park called valentines park in Ilford when i was young, (thats where her Nan used to live around) and i was telling her all about how i used to live near there and describing the house i used to live in down to the greenhouse in the garden i apparently used to love!
im not sure if my great Nan used to haunt me or if im a reincarnation of her or something but def is a bit crazy!!

Thanks Ray - I'll have a search for that book - I will only be able to read it in the daytime when there's someone around though. Definitely not a bedtime read - I'd never sleep!
I can't believe someone lives there now. I wonder whether they are aware of its history.
JenniferG - that is so interesting....yes, and weird. I remember seeing a documentary about something similar.

I seemed to be surrounded by ghostly happenings when I was younger, and there was a lot of "activity" in my parent's house, especially for an extended peiod when I was about 8 or 9. I can remember always being scared to go to sleep with the light off and didn't until I got my first boyfriend at 16. Anyway, some of the stuff i remember, was waking up and seeing a shape like the torso of a man in a jacket floating above my bed moving backwards and forwards. Another time, I woke up to my Mum turning the light on screaming, and something was holding a pillow to mys sisters face. Another time I was tying a jump rope across the gate outside to jump over, I looked up and saw a ghostly old lady who shook her finger at me. Another time I was sitting on my bed opposite the door which looked onto the bathroom, and I saw something run into the bathroom. I screamed and my Dad ran in there but said there was nothing. Years later he said he had been lying. Another time I got home from school and turned the TV on, but turned it off as the sound was distorted and creepy. I then turned the radio on and it did the same thing, and then again when I put a tape on too. There are loads of other things, but it all seemed to be at a peak over just a few years. I had a brief return to it all in my teens, when I would get up for the loo and feel compelled to look towards the end of the hall, and did not want to turn my back to it, and always thought I saw something when I had to go into the loo. It went on for about 2 weeks then all was fine again.
