Children going around naked
38 Answers
My next door neighbours had their three children going around completely naked yesterday when they invited me over for tea.I do not know about you but even though they are only little children and there were not paedophiles about It just isn't nice for anyone of any age to be completely naked aroung people that are not their parents.I would never let my children go around naked.P.S they were taking pictures. How embarrasing will it be looking at those pics in 20 years time.LOL.

Why should it matter if a child is naked in temperatures such as we've been having in it's own home? How can a little kid happily playing and being cool cause anyone normal any amount of distress? My littler kids have been running around with no clothes on, in and out of the pool ever since this heatwave started because it's their choice, our home and I don't care what airheads think. Niether do I subscribe to the idea that there is a paedophile around every corner, because there just isn't.I would imagine your neighbours are much like me, don't want their kids to be uncomfortably hot, get a hangup about their bodies and just want them to innocently enjoy their childhood. As for taking pics, I bet everyone has a pic of themselves as a naked toddler somewhere and yes it is embarassing but who cares?

Come and join me (and many others) tomorrow on Corton naturist beach in Suffolk and perhaps we'll be able to change your views :-)
Nudity is completely natural and your neighbours are doing the right thing by promoting that idea to their children. (I hope that the children frequently see their parents naked, as well). A century after Queen Victoria died, it's ludicrous that some people allow themselves to be inhibited by ideas which never existed prior to her reign.
With the present weather conditions, it would be wonderful if we could all walk down the street, or do our shopping in Tesco's for that matter, completely naked. Be honest, weren't you a little bit jealous of the freedom that those children were enjoying?

nox..my mum & dad have a cine film of me at the age of 5, running around nekkid in the height of summer, in our garden chasing after my rabbit.
It is a cute film, and one I have never had a problem with & neither did my parents. But then I was always brought up not to be ashamed about bodies. My parents never wore nightclothes and were always going to the bathroom/walking around the house in the buff..I have to say it probably gave me a much healthier attitude not only towards nudity but to sex as well. Hopefully I passed this on to my kids.

I agree with the others - nudity is completely natural, and certainly nothing to be ashamed of/digusted by/shy about etc.
My son is 3 and spends most of his time completely naked - lol!!
By making children ashamed of their bodies and making them cover it up it's re-inforcing a poor body image and and giving the impression that it is rude/dirty etc...it's no wonder that kids today have so many problems - if they can't even be allowed to run around with no clotes on in there own home!!

Ruskie, there's nothing more gorgeous than seeing a toddler running round naked enjoying the freedom of being nappyless. Mine's spent almost two weeks (unless going out- obviously) running round with just a t-shirt on. If you find this obscene there's something disturbingly wrong with you.
