ebay anger!

Has anyone else had problems selling on Ebay? I accidentally shill bid (honestly!) and they closed both my accounts. My sister had outstanding fees and so they closed her account. So she sold on her secondary acccount, which they also closed. We clubbed together and paid off her sellers fees, and they reinstated her account. She is desperate for money to take her 2 kids on holiday to Brighton in 2 weeks time. So she listed all ther items for sale and NOW Ebay have closed her account again!!!
Each time they do that it is hours and hours of listing time wasted, not to mention mucking the people bidding on the items about.
The most frustrating thing is that there is NO phoneline. No customer service!! You have to fill in a stupid appeal form and have no idea where it goes or anything.
What sort of company runs itself like this?

Me (and about 50 other buyers) were owed our our money back as all of us who had paid for goods after 28th April did not receive anything. It seems the company just did a runner and didn't honour any of the orders they took - and kept - the money for. By the time we found out our cheques has been cashed. Ebay didn't stop them trading despite a whole list of bad feedback and complaints - the company continued taking orders and taking people's money - well into May - and yet ebay still refused to stop their account. They did do so eventually - but about six weeks too late by which time a whole load of other people had ordered goods and not received them.
I empathise with you. I lost 43.50 (inc postage) buying an 2GB MP3 from Hong Kong, they said they were in UK, and I did not realise the hassle to claim it back and missed the 14 day deadline.
Never again, I have stopped using it since, the company that were selling the MP3's are still trading.
Gutted.

Sorry, but I think in this instance ebay weren't being unreasonable. How on earth can you accidentally shill bid? Why didn't you retract it? Shill bidding is a nasty trick and they do right to chuck the perpetrators off ebay.
And if you don't pay for their services, why shouldn't they kick you off?
Because many people have multiple accounts, they link them from surnames, email addresses and IP addresses.
Having said that, I agree with the general sentiment above in that they seem to persecute the 'little guy' and let the big scammers trade unhindered. And their Customer Service is indeed c**p.

I will explain my accidental shill bid!!!
My sister wanted an account to sell some stuff for her holiday but her debit card was for some reason turned down. So I said she could use my secondary account just temporarily.
She listed a load of stuff including a lush top. I wanted her to get at least 25 for it, as that is what I know it cost her originally, it was brand new. I also really loved it, so I bid on it- because I loved it and wanted it, but also to be supportive of her. She then phoned me and told me it was my account!!! What a dufus!! So I quickly REMOVED the bid. Immediately.
The bidder beneath me saw this, and assumed I was up to no good, and reported me. I explained the honest mistake but too late. My accounts are now stopped. That is one issue I can understand- I bid on my sister's item forgetting that it was actually my account that I never used!
But Ebay stopping her perfectly good account is ridiculous.

Can someone tell me what a "shill bid" is please. I've been a keen e-bayer fom ages but never heard of this. Also, i'd never buy anything from Hong Kong or Taiwan or China. There seems to be more than a few problems in this area. I've noticed that on many occassions when goods come from these areas they have less than 20 feedback. I have come to the conclusion they get a few good feedbacks, scam the customers then just start a new account and repeat the process. I know so many prople that have been scammed I am very wary.
Shill bidding is when you get a friend or relative to "up" the bid on your item in order to make it go for a higher amount. Say you were selling something and it was stuck on 10. You could ask me to bid it up to 15. That would force the other bidders to try and outbid the "false" bidder. So your item would actually go for 16 +, thus earning you more money.
I bought a S57 Microphone from Japan and have had no problems- plus it was dead cheap!!
