Vet, spaceman (always sounds cooler than astronaught to me), farmer (tractor driver specifically), zoo keeper, train driver, solicitor, paramedic, chef.

Those were all at various points from 6-16, and now it's marketing. How quickly your ambitions are scaled down!!

wanted to be a vet, then my adolescent allergy to animals kicked in and put paid to that. ended up becoming a research scientist and, you've guessed it, worked with animals lol. Would love to re train as a midwife.

Wanted to be an opera singer. Trained, sang, stopped. Took safe job as publications designer/PR assistant for music college. Quit after 15 years, probably from envy.

Am currently bogged down in midlife crisis, unemployed and supported by my devoted supplicant, er, husband. Still searching for Act III.

i wamted to be a primary school teacher, i went on to be a chef and now i am in the fashion trade with my own business...i am currently looking into a children's cookery school!

exactly...i went to a cookery school in London to train for my diploma and i was amazed how many school leavers didnt know what a pepper was or an aubergine!!! it was then i thought why should children be brought up not knowing what a f***ing pepper is!!!!!
