Cradel Cap
4 Answers
My 6 year old daughter has started to get cradle cap, she had this as a young baby but now it has started again.
I have been using anti dandruff shampoo, and also tried shampoo for greasy hair to take the grease from her scalp but it has alway came back, the only way I can get rid of it is by using baby oil to soften it and picking it off her scalp but 2 weeks later it is back again, I have also picked it off without the use of baby oil but it starts to bleed. Any suggestions on getting rid of this would be great.

Have you tried a cradle cap shampoo? dentinox i think is the name of the one i used on my son when he was a baby. Could be worth a try.
Also have a word with your GP in case it isnt cradle cap but eczema or something.

My mother used to heat olive oil - leave it overnight on my head (usually with a plastic shower cap) and fine comb it through the next morning. But at 37 years of age I still have it!! I've given up! If you're keen to get it sorted, maybe a dermatologist could help - diet and all sorts can contribute to the problem. Hope you've more luck than I had!
