Depressing week

hello, I am sorry to sound so dull and boreing and I have nothing amusing to talk about today but I am feeling very apprehensive about my life at the moment. I want to cheer up i really do, but in my line of work there is not alot to be cheerful about.

Basically I just have to put up with alot of difficult people who if they don't like what I do they get annoyed at me, sometimes I feel as though I am going to burst into tears people are so unreasonable. I cannot think why I go on with my work, I am very apprehensive about this next week and just don't know how I am going to cope, please help me.

don't get me started on that lot, we are overworked and underpaid as it is I am so stressed about it and I want to be the best man on my team as there is an employee award coming up and I am on the short list, if anything goes wrong for me this week I am done up like a kipper,

If people get angry at you at work, when you are just doing your job,either completely ignore them and start humming a tune or throw baffled/confused looks back in their general direction as if you have never seen such rude/angry people in your life.
Last of all, you could just blame the sky dish...

Dont take your job so seriously.

maybe you are right, I am a perfectionist and it crucifies me when I make mistakes, I drill holes in the wrong place sometimes and it makes a mess but i always tidy it up and the customers don't notice, once a drilled thru a double glazing unit and cracked the glass but they never spotted that either, i did worry about it though. Some places I go they get really annoyed though and threaten to set their dogs on me, I wear shin-pads now just in case. I do want to win this prize though. It is very important to me, I take pride in my work. Maybe I should smile more at these people. They don't have tro like me though do they?

i am really considering trying to win this prize though if I can just get through one more week without causing any major structural damage, I only ever did that once and that was cos the houseowner followed me around all the time and wouldn't let me back down the ladder with my hammar drill and i dropped it on his new car .

Trouble with posting, so will send in 2 parts.

Was going to ask if it was at your workplace or with customers, but you have now said.
The general public at large can be an ungrateful lot, but if I'm having work/fitments done I'm usually keen/delighted/interested as it is to better what you already have (generally). Always offer the friendly cup of tea/coffee, it's always appreciated - besides if a little extra cable etc is required the engineer will usually oblige!
