doesnt it depend on the individual? my boyfriend has the fastest metabolism in the world, sure everyone wanted to know lol

Depends on the food eaten - fats, carbohydrates and proteins are absorbed at different rates - and at differing points - in the gut. You're getting into transit time, motility and peristalsis comments now. Higher roughage speeds the process . . as in sweetcorn . . of food through the system, but absroption of the nutrients will vary accroding to he metabolism of the individual.

4 hrs plus is fair timing on average.
