This is addressed mainly to people who have worked in places where they have come across a lot of customers' surnames: what's the funniest surname you can remember? i remember a Mr Lavatory and also a Mrs Younghusband, when I was working in a call centre.
Not so much surnames, but we've loads of Richard Heads and my other half has come across a Miss Fanny Gash.
Probably just my puerile sense of humour.......
I worked in an office in Sydney for a while, where there was Mohammed Ali, a Bill Clinton and (now, I swear this is his real name, but he may have deed-polled it) a Mr Byron Longstaff. Yes, Byron Longstaff. And he even had the wee pointy Shakespeare beard, which made it even odder.
oh, this is too funny. I just googled Byron Longstaff to see what came up, and I found him! He works at the same place (WorkCover) and their website address (I'm not making this up, I promise) is www. toss.com.au. Hah hah hah!
Mr Smallbone. That was rather unfortunate. I also knew a Mr Longbottom (or short-ar$e as we called him!). There was also a Richard Gel. 'D!ck' to his friends!!
Recently I worked with a guy called Innocent Jam. He had dreadlocks and looked like a rapper!!
At my old school the houses were named after the head of house so there would be a Morgan house or a Stanely house. Me and my mate would think of all the teachers surnames in the school and how funny the houses would sound if they were head of house. We managed to think of some interesting ones. Bird house, Stone house, Goode house, Mee house. We did have a Hussey house once:-)
