Because when certain people post q's and answers that offend,and so they get removed,the only way to make themselves better is by going round removing other peoples posts.

But I still cant see how that would get a proper thread taken off.

i don't think people have the power to remove other peoples posts at will do they? I thought it had to be reported by 3 people at least ... in which case you are talking about 3 different people.
I would like to give you a point of view without being told i am miserable, should take a chill pill/get a life etc, so please, if poss dont answer like that

This is a question and answer site, and there is a facility (in fact, we are encouraged) to report posts that dont fit the criteria for the site due to many reasons (swearing, advertising etc) The post you are referring to, if i recall from earlier said "I'm back"

that is not a question, and therefore shouldn't be posted on a question and answer site. Ok so there may be a few people who are really interested in the coming and goings of their friends, for whatever reason (sad, holiday etc) but if that is the case, use a chat room. There are many people who wouldn't know who loopy is, less care where she'he has been, so why should their genuine questions fall off the bottom of the page into oblivion because people that know each other want to catch up?

lastly, there is a category in the report this question that says "not a question/chat" therefore i would think anyone had a valid right to report it under that category

i try not to start any chat threads, simply because for me the beauty of this site is all the questions and answers - I don't have to "chat" i don't have to make "friends" I dont have to get involved in whats going on in other peoples lives ... bliss. I love reading q'a and a's and for me the chat spoils it, as i don't know any of you, and i don't have to engage. I go to chat sites where i have friends, and have msn to keep in touch cyberly with my actual friends ... this site is for questions and answers and therefore if i feel like this, i'm sure others do too. (there must be at least 3 others who feel like that too)
