e=bay sellers. Need answer quickly please.

Probably wrong cat. but more people on here. I have agreed with an e-bay seller to cancell my bid which she has agreed to . Trouble is she doesn't know how to. Anyone know please. I can't cancell it myself. HELP>

You can retract your bid ~ have a look on your ebay winning page. Unless of course you have already won the item..in which case it simply means you have agreed not to go ahead with the transaction.

Difficult for me to explain as I am not bidding on anything at the moment!

I have just had a look ~ tell your seller to look under 'selling resources'..if they scroll down and look on the left hand column they should find it.

Click on that, and there is multitude of options. ONe of them is 'cancelling bids on my auction'. Hope this helps!

I have tried to cancel my bid but it comes back invalid reason. You can only cancel if you have entered wrong amount for bid. and a couple of other reasons which do not apply. The auction finishes in about 12 hrs. It was 20 hrs when I started and you have to get the seller to cancel for you if more than 12 hrs.

if you have an agreement with the seller it shouldnt matter how you cancel the bid!!
i would go with entered wrong amount!!

Wrong amount would not work. If the seller cancels my bid (which she doesn't know how to do) then I presume the bidding will still be open to the other two. The only other way is if one of these bidders come in late with a higher bid than mine but I can't see that happening. I just hate to let the seller down and she has to list it again. I have emailed e-bay and tried to explain but I don't know when they will read the e-mail.

If I were you I would offer to reimburse the listing & final value fees if she can't cancel your bid. That way she won't lose out financially, and you are showing goodwill.

Give her the instructions I have given in my first post ~ hopefull she will find the right link & all will be well :o)

Thanks Pippa and everyone else. I have e-mailed her the link to cancel my bid. It is quite simple really when you know how but like you say if the auction ends without her doing this, then I will offer to re-imberse her.

With the help of you good people and e-bay, managed to cancel my bid with just over an hour to go and another person was able to win the bid, which makes me feel better. The seller was very good, so I am pleased she managed to sell it. All's well that ends well as the saying goes. I think I'll stay off e-bay for a while.
