What areas does the rowing machine work, does it have an all over effect

How long per day should I be using it

I Agree with W/Minter,if you just do one exercise,that is the best. Most Gym machines have a regulator to suite your needs,nice and easy to pull so you can zip along,or set it more as a muscle trimming aid. Unless your told otherwise,I'd use it until you worked a good lather up,depends on your fitness level. As with all exercises,if your out of training,take easy to begin with
