If you're told you have high cholesteral due to diet and if you change your diet, excer cise etc. How long should it take to bring your levels down ? How long before you should try another test, a week, month ? Anyone know what the timeframes are

My mother had to have hers checked once a month. skylight
I had a blood test last week for high cholesterol and my thyroid function. The results which I got today ,for the cholesterol,were normal .Hooray ! This means I can escape my GP until October !
It has taken me about six months to do this by watching what I eat and drink.I have also given up smoking.... My GP put me on Statavastin for a while which helped .
They were testing me every month for the last six months.
