I gave a guy i like my number and he text me and we chatted for a while and he asked what i was doing at the weekend and he told me where he was going so I decided to go there too. He left the place where we were earlier than me so I offered him a lift home which he agreed to but when i text to find out where he was he didn't reply. I then saw him in the pub the following night and I'm sure him and his friends were talking about me, I think he is really shy. When he left the pub last night I sent him a text apologising for not speaking to him in the pub (I'm shy too and it's not like he spoke to me) and i again I offered him a lift and he didn't reply. ..i'm really confused, i thought he liked me, why did he text me in the first place....argh!!!!!

To be honest, you have made yourself look quite needy and desperate and that is a big turn off for blokes.

Thanks Dudda, he's 26 too. :-) I don't think I've sounded needy on my texts, they've been pretty breezy! I've learned from past mistakes but maybe I have scared him off.

Generally men like it when you are a little hard to get. I don't like the whole game playing thing but I think if there is no chase involved for a guy then they get bored!

It's a hard balance to get right though, you don't want to be too hard to get but you don't want to seem too available either!

You decided to go to the same place as him, then text offering a lift, no reply, then you ignored each other, then you text again offering another lift?!

You made him think he HAD you before he even had chance to try and GET you!

I may be wrong but from what you have said thats what it seems like?

My advice is don't make any effort with him at all now, if he likes you enough he will get in touch, if not then so be it!

sounds to me like he is not really that interested.Q: Did he invite u along at wk end. or did you just go. if so he prob left early cus u was there.allso he was prob after a shag and when he found out you wasnt easy distanced his self from you . his mates mostlikly think hes allready shagged you.
it doesnt matter if hes shy on text ..and dont apoligise for him not talkin to you as he made just as much of an effort to do the same.. after much deliberation ive come to the conclusion hes a t w a t ... forget the punk...
